How does the application process go?

Our application process is simple and straightforward. Submit the online application form by click 'Join Now' button at 'Find a Tutor' page, where you would put down: • The courses you want to get tutor, e.g. GCSE Chemistry, A-Level Physics, etc.. • Your tutoring preference, including your availability, preferred frequency and course length, preferred teaching language, etc.. • Your preference for tutors, such as tutor’s education background. We would take down your preferences in our database. Don’t worry. We value your privacy as much as you do. All the information is personal-unrelated and is securely kept.

How long would I be expecting response after application? How does my course start?

After you fill in the application process, a confirmation email would be sent. Currently, then the process goes as: • A member from our team would be get in touch within two working days. • Detailed information would be confirmed with you, including your expectations for the course and a few bit educational background. • After confirming details, we would get you connected with a tutor that matches your preference, which would take around 3 working days. • We would confirm the connection between you and your tutor, and set-up all scheduling and tutoring platform for you. • Start your learning journey! We are now developing our online platform. The process would be more automated and straightforward. Coming soon!

How to schedule my course? How does reschedule and withdraw work?

We would take care of everything! • To schedule, the potential tutor’s and your time preference would be taken down. And we would try our best to find to fit both of your availability. If there is anything to be discussed, we would sort out everything for you. Currently this is on a monthly basis. • The schedule for each month would be sent out. • If you happen to be unavailable for a scheduled course, please let us know 24h in advance, so that we could do the rescheduling for you. • We have a trial system for each course, which allows a potential withdrawal. • If you change your mind and decide not to study with WISESPROUT, sadly, but we still understand your choices. Let us know at least one week beforehand. Further details would be discussed by a member of our team! We are now developing our online platform. Can I get courses from multiple tutors at the same time?

Yes, of course! We have different tutors specialised in different fields. We would help you organise your schedule so the courses do not crush with each other.

Do I have to take long-term courses or short-term courses?

The courses are with very high flexibility, so there is no such limitations in the course length. You could either: • Get a routine courses. Want to get assistance throughout the year with a same tutor? No problem! We would help you get your routine tutor. • Thinking of boosting during a month? Good choice! We would organise a short term course with the best tutor candidate with you as well.

What platform we would be using?

Currently, we would be using Zoom. And the course link would be prepared by us so that you can get everything ready before your study.

Are courses recorded?

Yes. All courses are recorded at the moment. • Recording courses help protect both students and tutors. • Recording courses would provide studying materials for students as well. We are now developing our online platform. In the future, you would be able to access your all courses via your course bases so that you can go back and pick up your knowledge whenever you want. How much does my course cost?

Usually, the cost of your course would depend on: • The course you are applying for. Usually, the higher degree comes with a higher basic hourly rate. • Educational background of your tutor. A more experienced tutor with better educational background would come with a higher basic hourly rate. • Feedback of the tutor. A tutor with better track record would also come with a higher basic hourly rate. Details of the cost would be discussed when one of our team members get in contact.

How can I pay for my courses?

We support multiple payment methods, including: • Credit cards • Debit cards • PayPal • At this stage, payments can only be made via our web portal (LINK) or bank transfer. • For specific remittance or payment details, please refer to the contract or email page we have sent you. • When using our web payment system, we employ a certified secure payment gateway to ensure the safety and reliability of your payment information. If you choose to make a direct bank transfer, please double-check our company's remittance details and make sure to include your Customer ID in the payment reference. We expect to launch WeChat Pay and Alipay payment options by spring 2025.

How do I give feedback?

You are free to give feedback whenever you want! Just contact your own customer service member. • Usually, we would ask for feedback after your first and last class. • For long-term courses, a feedback would be asked monthly to ensure that everything is on track.

What if I am not satisfied with my course?

• We have a trial system for the first course. You can get trial lesson for free for 15 minutes. If you find that the style does not meet your expectations, you can withdraw your course for free. • After the trial period, withdrawal could cost a certain percentage of your course fee. • During the course time, we would like to protect both you and your tutors. If, unfortunately, something unpleasant happens, we would try our best to sort it out.

Can I go to the same tutor again?

Yes, of course! If you are happy with our tutor, and we are more than willing to get you two connected again! We are now developing our online platform. In the future, it would be much easier for you to get to the same tutor.

How does the application process go? What do I need to provide for the application?

Don’t worry. We value your privacy as much as you do. All the information is personal-unrelated and is securely kept.

How long would I be expecting response?

• After your application form submission, you would receive feedback within 5 working days via your chosen preferred contact, in case any additional information is needed. • A staff from our team would be in contact. They might also have a short chat with you to ensure we know each other better, and you are more than welcome to ask us questions! • After we reach an agreement, we are ready to set-up as a team together!

Do I need to be experienced for GCSE/A-level tutoring?

Decide to start your tutoring with WISESPROUT? Great! • We welcome and looking forward to every enthusiastic tutor to join our community, no matter whether you have tutoring experience or not. • It is your passion that we value. And what is more meaningful that set off this journey together?

What if I am not familiar with GCSE/A-level tutoring?

Do not need to worry! Our friendly service team would be happy to help. • New to UK education system? We would briefly introduce the general examinations, including the structure and what are exam boards. • And of course we would provide you with some general teaching materials, so that you know what you are up to! • Our team member is also experienced in teaching. They would share their teaching experience with you.

How do I get bookings?

When you submit your online application form, your teaching preferences would be noted down and go into our database. If there is a student coming to us, with tutoring demand matching your preferences, we would get you connected. For the moment, our team is here to set up everything for you, including scheduling and setting up meetings link. Your own service team member would send out your schedule for the month. So you just need to sit down, enjoy your teaching with students, and we would take care of the rest! We are establishing our own platform at the moment. In the future, you would be able to check your students and do the (re)schedule simply via your own profile.

How much would I expect for my hourly rate?

You would get your basic hourly rate when we make an agreement, which is dependent on: • Your educational background. The higher qualifications you get, the higher the standard rate is. And this is an on-going process, which means if you get a higher qualification when you are working with WISESPROUT, we would happily celebrate this with you by a promotion in your basic rate! • The courses you are tutoring in. Basically, the higher the grade you are tutoring, the higher the basic rate you would get. • Detailed basic hourly rate would be discussed when one of our team members get in touch with you. Apart from your basic hourly rate, the effort you put in would go into your bonus, including: • Positive feedback from students. • Achievements by students. • Additional qualifications you get. • Our team member would be happily to discuss this with you as well!

Do you charge commissions?

Yes, we do. We take only minimum number of commissions for platform maintenance, and we are completely open about this. We would show you how much commissions are taken.

If I meet the conditions for paying taxes, how do I pay for tax?

You do not need to worry about the tax! We would take care of everything, all admin required, of course including the tax. On your pay day, your final salary would be tax-deducted. We would send out your payslips with details, so 100% open about financial details.

How and when would I get payment?

Currently, your payment would be made monthly via bank transfer. • Fill in the time sheet! Take a look back at how much you have helped with students! We have a monthly ‘sum up’ day, before when you would fill in a timesheet, illustrating the student you have tutored, the time you spent and your expected payments. • Send over the timesheets before end of ‘sum up’ day. Our team would carefully check them to ensure that you did not miss any payments you deserve. • When everything is confirmed, the payment would be made via bank transfer to your named account. • Currently, you payment is expected on 23rd of every month
